Professor Chia-Lun TU and Bo-Xian Lee, Director of GeoHabitat Field School set up the classroom in the mountains by the mine. The workshop takes you into the field, following some of the best and amazing mentors to work in the mountains and by the ocean, and learn about local history and landscape narratives hands-on.

Some of the exciting activities include reading local geo map (aerial shots, landscape map…etc.), deigning and organizing public geo map system (i.e. Google Map), collecting / managing local resources and designing cultural heritage preservation and renewal solutions.
This is the third time Si Wan college running this workshop. Come join us with our new project approaches.

Workshop Application

This series of workshops is offered as one-credit course for undergraduate students.
For higher education students, enrolling in undergraduate courses are also eligible to apply.

**Workshop fee: 500 NTD**

This amount of fee includes both travel insurance and partial commute expense. Accommodation, course activities and guided tour expense are fully covered by the course. Expense for meals will be collected accordingly.

Due to the course quality and student safety, every workshop only has 30 spots opened.
We will contact the students after the the enrollment is finalized. It is your responsibility to add the class to your schedule online after receiving the acceptance email.

 

【Elective credit】
Earn one credit per workshop. Earn up to three credits with this series.

 

【Workshop Requirement】

Students who are able to attend all the scheduled meeting sessions and classes and show strong interest or relevant experience in the subject of the workshops.
