4.Areas of Expertise (one or more of the following):

(1)Science, Technology and Society (STS, including philosophy of technology, digital humanities, science communication, AI ethics, history of science and technology, cultural studies of technology, technology and the arts, technology education, technology management, and related fields).

(2)Law (including technology law, gender equality law, intellectual property law, and related fields).

(3)Other emerging interdisciplinary fields.

5.Qualifications:

(1)Doctoral degree in a relevant field from an accredited domestic or international university.

(2)Within the past five years, at least two publications in in SCIE-, SSCI-, AHCI-, TSSCI-, or THCI-indexed journals (as first author or corresponding author). Proof of acceptance will also be considered.

(3)Demonstrated research excellence and eligibility under the “NSYSU Regulations for the Appointment of Teachers and Researchers.” (please refer to: https://regs.nsysu.edu.tw/rule/file/202411121150590455.pdf )

(4)Ability to teach in English and communicate effectively in Mandarin Chinese.

(5)Experience in general education is preferred.

(6)Experience in international collaboration is preferred.

6.Expected Start Date: August 1, 2027.

(2)List of publications within the past five years (for SCIE/SSCI publications, please indicate the journal impact factor and the most recent subject-category ranking). One publication should be designated as the “representative publication”.

Note: Publications appearing in journals identified by the NSYSU Office of Research and Development as potential predatory journals (see Appendix 1) should not be included in the publication list.

(3)Copies of the representative publication and selected publications.

(4)Proposed courses teaching portfolio, including 2–3 courses (equivalent to 6 credits), course titles and syllabi; at least one course must be taught in English (please refer to Appendix 2 for definitions of Liberal Arts courses).

(5)Copies of academic and professional credentials (teaching certificate, degree certificates, doctoral transcripts, and proof of academic honors). Credentials obtained abroad must be authenticated by authorized ROC overseas offices.

(6)Other supporting documents relevant to the review, such as evidence of English-medium teaching, awards, honors, research grants or project experience, etc.

(7)Three letters of recommendation.

(8)Completed CV in Excel format (Appendix 3).
