各位同學，您好：

依據「中山大學學士班學生英文能力培育要點」第三條，非透過學測或分科測驗入學的同學，例如特殊選才學生、僑生及轉學生等，英文起始分級將分配至「初級」。

 

一、我需要參加這次測驗嗎？
 

若您的身份為 「特殊選才學生」、「僑生」及「轉學生」等，英文起始分級將分配至「初級」。如果您屬於上述身分，可依以下情況判斷：
 

• 目前分級為初級或顯示空白者，希望調整分級：可依規定申請「英文分級變更」，或報名參加本次英文分級測驗，依測驗結果調整分級。

• 請留意，已完成「英文分級變更」或「通識英文抵免」：不需要參加本次測驗。

• 另外，接受目前的初級分級，沒有調整需求：不需要參加本次測驗，依目前分級規劃選課即可。

• 已提出分級變更或抵免申請，但尚未確認結果，或不確定自己是否適用：請先洽全英語卓越教學中心確認，再決定是否報名。
   

本次測驗提供有分級調整需求的同學參加，並非所有新生都必須應試。透過學測或分科測驗入學的同學，如對目前分級有疑問，也請先洽中心確認適用的辦理方式。

 

二、如何報名？何時考試？

欲參加本次測驗的同學，請於10/29(四)前請填寫 Google 報名表單，以利安排考試。

測驗預計於第12週舉行，暫定時間為11月24日（二）下午4:10至5:00。正式考試時間及地點將於考前另以 Email 通知，請留意信箱及後續通知。

 

三、考試當天需要注意什麼？

 

請依通知的時間及地點參加測驗，考試內容包含英文聽力及閱讀測驗。

請攜帶：

• 學生證，或其他附照片的身分證件，如身分證、駕照；僑外生亦可攜帶護照或居留證。

• 2B鉛筆、藍色或黑色原子筆及橡皮擦。

考試開始後，不得提前繳卷離場，請預留完整應試時間。

 

四、考完後如何查詢結果及選課？

 

測驗完成後，中心將另以 Email 通知您的最新英文分級結果。

下學期選課前，請至選課系統的「選課相關資訊 → 英文分級查詢」確認最新分級，並依結果選修相應的英文課程。

Dear Students,

 

Under Article 3 of NSYSU’s guidelines for undergraduate English proficiency development, students admitted through routes other than the General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT) or the Advanced Subjects Test—including students admitted through special talent selection, overseas Chinese students, and transfer students—are initially assigned to the Basic level.

 

1. Do I need to take this test?

 

If you belong to one of the groups listed above, please review the following:

 

• Your current placement is Basic, or your placement field is blank, and you would like to change your level: You may apply for an English placement change under the relevant regulations or register for this test. Your placement will be determined by your test results.

• You have already completed an English placement change or received credit transfer approval for General English courses: You do not need to take this test.

• You accept your current Elementary placement and do not wish to change it: You do not need to take this test. Please plan your course enrollment according to your current level.

• You have applied for a placement change or credit transfer but are still awaiting the result, or you are unsure whether this test applies to you: Please contact the Center for EMI Teaching Excellence before registering.

This test is intended for students who wish to adjust their English placement. Not all new students are required to take it. Students admitted through the GSAT or the Advanced Subjects Test who have questions about their placement should also contact the Center to confirm the appropriate procedure.

 

2. How do I register, and when will the test take place?

 

Please complete the Google registration form if you would like to take the test.

The test is planned for Week 12, tentatively on Tuesday, November 24, from 4:10 to 5:00 p.m.

The confirmed test time and location will be emailed to you before the test. Please check your inbox for further updates.

 

3. What should I prepare for the test?

 

Please attend at the time and location specified in the email notification. The test includes English listening and reading sections.

Please bring:

• Your student ID or another photo ID, such as a national ID card or driver’s license. Overseas Chinese and international students may also bring a passport or residence permit.

• A 2B pencil, a blue or black ballpoint pen, and an eraser.

Once the test begins, you may not submit your paper and leave early. Please make sure you are available for the entire test session.

 

4. How will I receive my results and enroll in courses?

 

After the test, the Center will email you your updated English placement result.

 

Before enrolling in courses next semester, please check your latest placement in the course registration system under 「選課相關資訊 → 英文分級查詢」 (Course Registration Information → English Placement Inquiry). Then select English courses appropriate for your assigned level.
